The Right Control key, as of now, and for quite some time has been unable to be binded to any action in the game. Yet, having played the game from day 1, at some point you COULD bind your Right CTRL key to an action. This is the case for my main account, where I have my Right Control set to show targets. However, due to [shit nobody cares about] I am forced to use another account for precisely 72 hours. I can not bind my right control key to anything and it bugs me. I want to bind it :[

tl;dr: has there been a work-around for the ability to bind this key in Guild Wars or any other way to bind this key or do we need to start shouting at them until they fix it?

Is this other account on the same PC that you normally play on?

If not, have you had any other programs recently installed that bind that key to a certain function?

let me let you in one a secret, in a game format.

Press f11, go to language then select any one that you dont speak in.

Then try to understand something. When you fail, press down and hold the right ctrl key.

as far as i know, then right CTRL key has always been "show targets". or at the very least, it does it by default.

I'm not sure, I have it binded to open my Razer keyboard settings.

I've switched computers various times with my main account - the right control still works but I still can't bind it on other accounts.

That would be the left ctrl key.

You didn't say whether or not you are using your same system to access both accounts. (Sounds like someone was naughty and got a 72 hour ban.

Edit: Just tried it, and I can't bind Right CTRL in GW. (Right ALT works tho.) If you could do it in the past, it may be a bug that crept into the game, or it could have been changed on purpose. (Is there any (new) function tied to Right-CTRL?)
The only way to find out would be to check with ANet's support.

Edit #2 - Just noticed on the Nightfall Quick Reference Card that Right CTRL is marked as "Language Toggle".....

I got banned for saying the phrase "Suck my Penis". Apparently they have nothing better to do than ban nearly harmless phrases :/

and yes the right control key is force-binded to language toggle from what I can tell - there needs to be a workaround
